Product description
Blended malt Monkey Shoulder (a blend of Balvenie, Glenfiddich and Kininvie) is a proposal from William Grant & Sons from 2005 aimed mainly at bartenders as a base for drinks.
The brand's success exceeded the creators' expectations, in 2015 the magazine "Drinks International" recognized Monkey Shoulder as the most frequently ordered brand in bars. Two years later, "in response to suggestions from bartenders from all over the world", Wm Grant & Sons developed the formula for Smokey Monkey, a smoky and peaty version of Monkey Shoulder. An additional component is whisky distilled from malted barley with the participation of peat from the Highlands (we assume it is a single malt Ailsa Bay) and aged in fresh bourbon barrels. Smokey Monkey was originally available in selected bars in France and Great Britain.
