In June 2016, the American corporation Brown-Forman acquired the assets of BenRiach Distillery Company for £281 million.
The first release of the new owners was BenRiach Peated Quarter Casks, a whisky distilled from peated malt, aged exclusively in quarter casks (capacity 125 liters) and bottled without chill filtration. Less than a year later, the Classic Quarter Casks version joined the offer, also containing whisky aged exclusively in quarter casks but distilled from malted barley without peat. Both versions are an excellent introduction to the extremely diverse BenRiach offer.
