Product description
Fettercairn single malt has never been very popular with whisky lovers.
It is also true that its owners, the company Whyte & Mackay, were (and are) focused on promoting Dalmore and Jura, using Fettercairn mainly to create their own blends . In 2018, a new offer of the distillery appeared, consisting of 12-, 28-, 40- and 50-year-old whiskies. Fettercairn 28 years old is a spirit aged in bourbon barrels and bottled at 42% ABV. The distillery, built in 1824 by Alexander Ramsay, is located in the village of Fettercairn at the foot of the Cairngorm Mountains and is considered the second officially registered distillery (the first was Glenlivet). It is equipped with two pairs of stills and can produce 3.2 million litres of distillate per year.
