Product description
Convalmore Distillery was one of dozens of victims of Scotland's whisky overproduction in the 1980s.
Built in 1893 by Glasgow brokers, it was soon taken over by WP Lowrie & Co. and produced for the Black & White blender. In 1925, Convalmore joined DCL and for the next 60 years its whisky was used in many of the group's blends. It distilled for the last time in 1985. Today, the rights to the brand are held by Diageo, and since 1992 the property has been owned by William Grant & Sons, who only use the warehouses there. In 2017, the group included Convalmore in its prestigious Special Releases series for the fourth time. This time, it is a whisky distilled in 1984 and aged in refilled bourbon hogshead casks. The edition consisted of 3,972 bottles.

Palate: soft, vanilla pudding, candied lemon peel, apples, pears, a handful of herbs from the garden, roasted peanuts and a light bitterness of oak.
