Nikka Black Rich Blend / 40% / 0.7l
- Nikka Black was introduced in June 1956 and re-introduced in September 1965.
Product description
Nikka Black recorded two debuts, June 1956 and September 1965.
While the first was a mixture of malt whisky and blending alcohol (distilled from everything that can be distilled and usually not aged), the second contained single malt Yoichi and grain whisky from Nishinomiya Distillery, opened in 1964. "Black Nikka" is today the most popular whisky of the Japanese company with annual sales exceeding 2.7 million cases per year. In the new century, the company expanded the "Black" offer with several new editions; the Rich Blend presented here is a proposal from 2013. Its heart is malt whisky from Miyagikyo Distillery (unpeated and slightly peated) delicately decorated with peated Yoichi. The grain whisky comes from Miyagikyo Distillery, where the distillation columns from Nishinomiya were moved.
