Product description
The history of the Punta Cana Club brand dates back to the 19th century, when a man named Oliver Juanillo founded a sugar cane and tobacco plantation in Cuba.
Shortly afterwards, a rum factory was also launched, which operated until 1959, i.e. until the end of the Cuban Revolution. The founders of the Oliver & Oliver distillery, as the distillery was called, were forced to emigrate. Eventually, they settled in the Dominican Republic, where they found excellent conditions to continue their distilling business. The new Oliver & Oliver distillery produces a wide range of rums, using traditional copper stills and pure sugar cane syrup. Punta Cana Silver Dry is a rum matured for 3 years in American bourbon oak barrels. Before bottling, however, it is filtered to remove the color, which is undesirable when mixing cocktails.
