Product description
Togouchi is a blended whisky created on three continents: Europe, America and Asia.
It is classified as Japanese whisky, but it does not contain a single drop of distillate from the Land of the Rising Sun, and its producer, the Chugoku Jozo company, specializes in sake and shōchu and has little in common with whisky distillation. Grain distillate is imported from Canada, malt from Scotland, they are blended on site and subjected to additional maturation, which takes place in a 361-meter-long abandoned railway tunnel, where ideal climatic conditions prevail - a constant temperature of 15ºC and 80% humidity. The company does not reveal which distilleries are behind the Togouchi brand, only stating that its formula is 60% grain whisky, and the remaining 40% single malts.
