Product description
LOT No. 40 debuted in the late 1990s as part of the Canadian Whisky Guild series to celebrate the arrival of the new millennium. It also included Pike Creek and Gooderham & Worts.
The series did not achieve the expected success and fell into oblivion at the beginning of the new century, but LOT No. 40 was warmly received by rye whiskey lovers. Its name refers to the number of the plot where Joshua Booth, a politician, distiller and ancestor of the Hiram Walker distillery master blender Mike Booth, had his residence and farm. LOT No. 40 returned to the market in 2012 in response to the growing interest in rye whiskey. It is distilled from 100% rye, including 10% malted rye, at the Hiram Walker Distillery and is said to be aged for 7 to 8 years.
