Product description
Kinahan's Whiskey Co. was founded in Dublin in 1779 by Daniel Kinahan. Charles Lennox, the King's lieutenant, was so taken with Kinahan's whiskey that in 1807 he ordered that all barrels remaining in the company's warehouse be marked with the initial LL.
(Lord Lieutenant) and was intended for his personal use. Kinahan's LL is the only Irish whiskey to have received a Royal Warrant from the British Crown, and from two monarchs, Queen Victoria (1845 and 1886) and Edward VII (1901). In 1920, it disappeared from the market and had to wait almost 100 years for its return. In March 2014, Kinahan's Whiskey Ltd began operating and soon brought the forgotten Kinahan's LL whiskey back to life. One of the proposals is Kinahan's LL Small Batch, a blended whiskey made from distillates aged for at least 6 years in American oak barrels.
