Product description
Dewar's White Label debuted in 1891, more than 10 years after the death of John Dewar, founder of John Dewar & Sons.
The company was then owned by his sons, Tom and John Alexander, but the Dewar's White Label formula was created by their blender, Alexander Cameron. The whisky was an immediate success, selling 4.5 million litres a year in the 19th century; it is still the best-selling Scottish blend in the States. In 1896, the brothers built the Aberfeldy distillery to produce exclusively for the family blend. Today, the Dewar's brand is owned by Bacardi, and its formula is based on Aberfeldy, Aultmore, Royal Brackla and Craigellachie malts.
