Edradour Ballechin Double Malt Double Cask 8-year-old / 46% / 0.7l

Product description
For many years Edradour called itself "the smallest Scottish distillery" and indeed, the production capacity of 130 thousand litres per year is not very impressive, but it is bettered by micro-distilleries such as Abhainn Dearg or Daftmill.
Since 2002, Edradour has been owned by Signatory Vintage and has gained thousands of loyal fans. In addition to the standard Edradour, the distillery produces a smoked and peated version of Ballechin. Here we present an extraordinary edition of Edradour Ballechin Double Malt 8 years old, made from one sherry cask of the standard Edradour and three bourbon casks of Ballechin. The whisky was bottled at 46% abv and without chill filtration.
Aroma: slightly smoky, subtle notes of sherry, oranges, roasted chestnuts, cinnamon, vanilla, honey, traces of dried fruit and smoked ham.
Taste: fruity and peaty, oranges, raspberries, raisins, almonds, dark chocolate, vanilla, a bit of pepper and cinnamon and a light bitterness of oak.
Finish: quite long, with notes of vanilla, pepper, dried fruit and peat smoke.
