Knockdhu Distillery was founded in 1893 to supply malt for the Haig’s brand. Exactly 100 years later the current owners, Inver House Distillers, started marketing anCnoc single malt. In 2004 they added a vintage expression to the product range for the first time. AnCnoc 1990 got pretty good reviews and the Company decided to follow that path. The 2001 Vintage bottled in December 2015 is a marriage of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks whiskies, bottled at 46% abv and without chill-filtration. Only 6000 bottles were produced.
