Product description
Glen Mhor Distillery, built in 1892, was the third distillery to be established in Inverness (the others being Millburn, established 1807, and Glen Albyn, established 1846). It had three stills, two of which were used for the first distillation.
The distillery's distilling capacity did not exceed one million liters per year and in 1983, faced with an oversupply of whisky, the owner, the DCL concern, decided to close it. A few years later, a supermarket was built on the premises. The distribution license had belonged to Gordon & MacPhail for years, which regularly offered Glen Mhora in the Distillery Labels series. The edition presented here is also a Gordon & MacPhail proposal, this time in the Rare Vintage series. This is whisky distilled in 1965 and bottled after 42 years with an alcohol content of 43%.
