Product description
Chita is a grain distillery owned by Suntory, about which the company is reluctant to provide information.
It was built in 1972 in the Aichi prefecture, near the village of the same name, and the grain distillate from there goes into all the blends from the company's portfolio, including Royal, Kakubin and Hibiki. Chita occupies an area of approx. 50,000 m2 and looks more like a petrochemical plant than a distillery. Its production potential is unknown to us, although we know that the main grain input is corn. The Chita Single Grain debuted in the fall of 2015 in Japan, and the following summer in the Travel Retail chain , and is the only grain whisky listed in the basic offer of the Japanese producer. The drink was bottled with an alcohol content of 43%, and the calligraphic mark on the label supposedly refers to its unique character.
