Product description
In 1966, Mark Edwin Andrews purchased the 15th-century Knappogue Castle in County Clare, Ireland.
Around the same time, he began buying pot still whiskey directly from producers, which he then bottled and sold locally after additional maturation or gave to his family. His most famous release was 1951 Knappogue Castle, a 36-year-old whiskey from the original Tullamore distillery. Mark Edwin died in 1992, and a few years later his son Mark Andrews III brought the brand to the States. Knappogue Castle 14 years old Twin Wood is a marriage of whiskeys aged in ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks, bottled unchill-filtered at 46% ABV.

Finish: quite long, with notes of dried fruit, malt and spices.
