Product description
This is a whisky from the closed New Zealand distillery Willowbank, located in Dunedin, on the South Island. The plant was established in 1969 and ceased operations in 1997.
Most of the distillates from Willowbank were purchased by The New Zealand Malt Whisky Company, which occasionally bottles them. From 2004 to 2012, it released distillates under the Milford brand. The 20-year-old was the oldest in the series. Its distillates matured in bourbon barrels and new American oak barrels. It was released in a limited edition in characteristic bulging bottles.
Aroma: full and distinct with notes of malt, wood, spices, nutmeg, raisins, honey, hay and lemongrass
Taste: deep and balanced with notes of oak, barley malt, spices, honey, citrus and vanilla
Finish: long and mature with accents of malt and spices.
