Cognac Hennessy Paradis Rare Cognac / 40% / 0.7l

Hennessy Paradis is the work of Maurice Fillioux, uncle of the company's current blending master Yann Fillioux.

Its "paradise" name refers to the aging warehouse, now called the Founder's Cellar, where the finest barrels of Hennessy cognacs rest and take on their beauty. "Paradis" is a common word in the region, small producers use it to describe a cellar or small warehouse where they store their eaux-de-vie. In his creation, Maurice based himself on the cognacs produced by his grandfather and great-grandfather, aged for up to 70 years. The result of this process is a truly heavenly drink, the youngest component of which is 25 years old, and the oldest almost a century old.

Aroma : rich, fruity and floral, dry rose petals, honey, chocolate truffles, pineapples, passion fruit, pepper, cinnamon, a touch of cardamom and oak.

Palate: rich and complex, dried apricots and plums, raisins, candied orange peel, cinnamon, cocoa powder, a bit of dry herbs, notes of tobacco and oak.

Finish: long and elegant, with notes of dried fruit, cinnamon, nutmeg, a touch of licorice and oak.
