Aperitif China China Bigallet (France) / 40% / 0.5l
Product description
Over 150 years ago, Félix Bigallet created a liqueur and syrup factory in Lyon, delivering them by carriage to cafés and taverns, but also to visiting merchants. Throughout this time, the company has focused on the naturalness of its products, to this day this is the most important slogan and the entire company has developed around it. All syrups and spirits are made from carefully selected ingredients from the best places, always in line with the philosophy of quality and naturalness. The company has also developed unique know-how to make the most of nature's treasures, respecting the rhythm of the seasons and harvests, ultimately offering products of unparalleled quality.
Bigallet's quality goes hand in hand with awareness of ecology and sustainable development, as evidenced by the ECOCERT certificate.
A liqueur made from a mixture of bitter and sweet orange peels, initially macerated in neutral alcohol based on sugar beets, then distilled in an alembic, with the addition of seeds of 4 plants and spices. The addition of natural caramel, apart from the wonderful colour, allows this product to retain its original character. The recipe was created by accident when a distiller nicknamed "China" inadvertently allowed his preparation to burn in the boiler. The owner of the plant forgave him this oversight, ultimately gaining a product that we can still enjoy today.

The liqueur captivates with orange aromas with notes of dark fruit cake and plums, and there are also licorice accents. In the mouth, we feel complexity, where the taste of orange and licorice is enriched with spices used during distillation: cardamom, black pepper and cinnamon. This is felt perfectly during the very long finish, where we are warmed by the zest of orange with a strong cardamom accent.
It goes perfectly with cognac-based cocktails, but will also perfectly present its original and timeless character when combined with mint, red fruit or citrus flavors.
