Product description
Famous Grouse Whisky is a tribute to Scotland's most popular game bird, the red grouse.
The blend, originally called The Grouse, was developed in 1896 by Matthew Gloag, shortly after taking over the family company Matthew Gloag & Son, founded by his grandfather at the beginning of the century. Matthew's daughter, Philippa, played a significant role in the presentation of the blend, drawing the grouse on the label. Today, Famous Grouse is a strong member of the Edrington Group portfolio, with annual sales of over 3 million cases. The Famous Grouse is not just a blended whisky, with both blended malt and blended grain versions released under the brand. The blended malt presented here was created with the Macallan, Highland Park Glenrothes, Glenturret and Tamdhu playing key roles.
