Product description
Justerini & Brooks, wine merchants, entered whisky business in the 1880s and soon introduced their own Club blend, which sold in modest quantities in the UK and US.
In the early 1930s they developed J&B Rare, whisky designed to appeal particularly to post-prohibition American drinkers. J&B Rare became extremely popular in the US and by 1963 was selling a million cases a year. Currently the brand is owned by Diageo and with global annual sales of 3.4 million cases remains no. 5 best-selling Scotch in the world. The key components of J&B blends are Auchroisk, Strathmill, Knockando and Glen Spey malts and Cameronbridge and North British grains. J&B Reserve is a premium expression of J&B composed from malts and grains aged for a minimum of 15 years.
