Ardbeg 10 years old debuted in 2000 and was based on whiskies distilled by previous owners, Allied Domecq. In 2008, Glenmorangie had enough of its own distillates to introduce a new 10-year-old version on a permanent basis. Thus was born Ardbeg Ten, aged in bourbon barrels and bottled without chill filtration at 46%. This whisky is often called the flagship of Islay.

Color: straw

Aroma: peat smoke, sweet fruits, vanilla, toffee, sea breeze, a hint of lemongrass

Taste: A combination of fresh fruity sweetness with peat smoke, a hint of espresso, lemon peel and licorice

Finish: long and smoky, sweet breakfast cereal, honey and a hint of iodine
