The brand was created by Stephen Carroll for the Bleeding Heart Company. It is produced on the Philippine island of Negros and claims to be the world's first single island rum from the Philippines.
Don Papa Baroko is a spiced rum distilled in traditional copper pot stills and matured for a minimum of three years in American oak barrels that previously held bourbon.
Aroma: Extremely expressive, accents of vanilla, citrus and oak.
Taste: Smooth and sweet, with notes of vanilla, honey, spices.
Finish: Long, with notes of oak.
