Product description
Glenfiddich Fire & Cane debuted in the summer of 2018 as the fourth edition of the Experimental Series, following Glenfiddich IPA Experiment and Project X (both released in 2016) and Winter Storm, released a year later.
Fire & Cane is a blend of a smoky, peaty Glenfiddich distilled when “current Master Distiller Brian Kinsman was still learning his craft” and a standard fruity, sweet, bourbon-barrel-aged whisky. After blending, the whiskies were aged for an additional three months in rum barrels from various Latin American producers. Glenfiddich Fire & Cane is presented in a multi-colored bottle, dark at the bottom and clear at the top, where the contrast of colors reflects the contrast of flavors.
Aroma: slightly smoky, fruity, nectarines, pineapples, pears, toffee, vanilla, caramel, notes of cloves and cinnamon.
Palate: brown sugar, toffee, baked apples and pears, white chocolate, honey, cinnamon, cloves, white pepper and peat smoke in the background.
Finish: quite long, with notes of vanilla cream, summer fruits, cinnamon, cloves, peat smoke and oak.
