Product description
Allt-a-Bhainne is a young and extremely successful distillery in Speyside.
It was built in 1975 by Chivas Bros., then part of Seagram. Since 2001, all Chivas Bros. assets have been owned by Pernod Ricard, and Allt-a-Bhainne, after a short break (2002-2005), is now fully operational, producing over 4 million liters of distillate per year, almost 100% of which ends up in blends, mainly Chivas Regal and 100 Pipers. Official editions are very rare. The Allt-a-Bhainne 22 years old presented here was distilled on July 26, 2000, aged in refill hogsheads and finished for 27 months in a fresh sherry butt (No. 9). Bottled on October 28, 2022 at 52.3% abv as part of the Signatory Vintage Cask Strength Collection in an edition of 689 bottles.
