Product description
The first drops of distillate flowed from the Arran Distillery stills on 17th August 1995 and three years later Arran single malt made its market debut, very well received by whisky lovers.
In retrospect, it seems that the distillery heralded the boom of the new millennium. Today, Arran Distillery Company owns two distilleries on the island – Lagg Distillery filled its first cask in spring 2019 (the local single malt debuted in spring 2023) and produces a smoky-peaty distillate, while the original distillery has changed its name to Lochranza Distillery. The Arran 17 year old presented here is a limited edition from 2023. It was made from first and second fill sherry hogshead casks and first fill bourbon casks. The edition consisted of 12,000 bottles.
