Product description
Tomatin, once the largest Scottish malt distillery and big supplier of bulk whisky, in the new Millennium took tremendous effort to build the brand.
After significant downsizing, the distillery can produce 5 million liters of spirit annually, yet still uses roughly 50% of its capacity. In 2021 Tomatin released French Collection, a range of single malts finished in French wine and cognac casks, which earned good review. The following year the company launched Portuguese Collection, a limited edition series dedicated to and inspired by Portuguese wines. Each expression was distilled on September 8, 2006 and aged in traditional oak casks for eight years. On April 23, 2015 the whisky was moved into Port, Moscatel and Madeira wine casks for additional seven years. The Moscatel Cask Finish was released on May 9, 2022.
