Jim Beam has been leading the statistics of the most popular bourbons for years, with current sales reaching 12 million cases (2022).
Beam is part of the Beam Suntory group, the world's third largest producer of alcoholic beverages; it has two distilleries in Kentucky, Clermont and Boston, and the company's warehouse stock exceeds one and a half million barrels. In addition to bourbon and rye whiskey, Jim Beam also offers a full range of so-called "flavored whiskeys" or "whiskey drinks" in various flavors. Jim Beam Sunshine Blend debuted on the German market in the summer of 2023. The German distributor claims that its formula uses brown rice (we were unable to verify this, but we remember that a similar experiment resulted in the Basil Hayden Toast edition). This drink is an excellent base for summer cocktails.
Aroma: light and uncomplicated, a bouquet of wild flowers, a basket of summer fruits, vanilla, caramel and a touch of oak.
Taste: mild, ripe grapes and pears, vanilla, brown sugar, a bit of honey and cinnamon.
Finish: medium long, with notes of vanilla, brown sugar, stewed fruit, a pinch of spice and oak.
