- Glen Garioch is one of the oldest operating distilleries in Scotland. Founded 1797 by John Manson it is currently owned by Beam Suntory and equipped with a single pair of stills can produce about 1.3 million liters of spirit per annum.

Glen Garioch is one of a handful of working Scottish distilleries with a history spanning four centuries, dating back to 1797.
And now it belongs to the Beam Suntory group and equipped with two stills it can produce about 1.3 million liters of distillate per year. Since 1994, the local whisky has been devoid of smoky and peaty tones, previously the plant produced malt itself, in which the concentration of phenol compounds was about 10 ppm. The Glen Garioch presented here, distilled in February 2010, spent over 10 years in a refilled bourbon barrel (no. DL 13899), and was bottled in February 2020 at 46% abv by Douglas Laing & Co in the Provenance series in an edition of 283 bottles. Douglas Laing & Co. whiskies are bottled with a natural color and without cold filtration.
Nose: honeycomb, milk fudge, vanilla, apricots, plums, sponge cake, a hint of white chocolate and a trace of oak.
Taste : vanilla pudding, honey cereal, pralines, peaches, apricots, orange peel, almond flakes and a pinch of ginger.
Finish : medium long, with notes of breakfast cereal, vanilla, toffee, summer fruits, a touch of nutmeg and oak.
