Product description
Auchentoshan Distillery was built in 1823 on the outskirts of Glasgow (its buildings are situated between the Kilpatrick Hills and the River Clyde).
The plant has three stills and can produce around 2.5 million liters of distillate per year. It is also the only Scottish distillery using only three-stage distillation, and its so-called middle cut is very narrow - the collection of spirit begins at 82% abv and ends at 80%. In recent years, the brand's sales have been very dynamic, in 2020 it was 1.8 million bottles. The whisky presented here, distilled in November 1997, spent over 21 years in a virgin American oak cask no. DL 13064. Bottled at 51.5% abv and without cold filtration by Douglas Laing & Co. in the Old Particular series in February 2019, in an edition of 266 bottles.
