Product description
In 2009, the Edrington Group suspended production at Tamdhu Distillery.
The break did not last too long, two years later the plant was purchased by Ian Macleod Distillers (the same company that bought the Glengoyne distillery from Edrington Group) and distillation immediately resumed. The new owner focused on maturing in sherry casks, both American and European oak. In 2015, Tamdhu Batch Strength debuted and received excellent reviews. As we read in the official note, "its aromatic and flavor palette reflects the Victorian optimism of the first owners, who were passionate about creating the finest single malt." The seventh batch of Tamdhu Batch Strength presented here, containing whisky aged in Oloroso sherry casks, went on sale in July 2022.
