Product description
The name Edradour derives from the Gaelic phrase “Eodar dhá Dhobhar," which translates to "Between the Rivers."
The distillery was founded in 1825 and, until 1837, operated as Glenforres Distillery. Edradour is a very picturesque distillery and one of the smallest in Scotland. After an expansion completed in early 2018, it can produce 260,000 liters of spirit per annum. Each year the distillery releases several limited editions aged and finished in various types of wood. The whisky presented here was distilled in November 2000 and initially aged in refill bourbon hogsheads. It was reracked into fresh Oloroso sherry nos. 3154 and 3155 on May 23, 2007, and bottled at natural strength of 55.8% abv on March 31, 2022. The butts yielded 1059 bottles.
