Product description
Whisky Vink (Dutch for "finch") is the creation of Ruben Wolvekamp and Sebastian Kolstee (creators of Kever Genever) and Arthur Kruijt (master distiller of Tweekoppige Phoenix Distillery).
Tweekoppige Phoenix (Dutch for “Two-Headed Phoenix”) was founded in 2010 and produces gin, genever, vodka, liqueurs and whiskey, as well as contract distilling. Vink whiskey is distilled from a mash of barley (the main mash grain), rye, wheat and corn. The Vink Peated Port presented here is a blend of a smoky and peated single malt whiskey aged in port barrels for 5 years and the standard 5-year-old Vink whiskey aged in bourbon barrels. This Batch No.1 edition went on sale in 2017 in an amount of 4,244 bottles.
