Product description
Rum production in the Philippines dates back to at least 1893, when the Manilla Wine Merchants Company was incorporated.
The company changed its name to Tanduay Holdings in 1999. Until recently, few people in Europe had heard of Philippine rum, even though Tanduay is one of the world's largest producers. Until recently, however, the rum was sold almost exclusively on Asian markets. In recent years, the Filipino rum producer's two flagship products, the Silver and Gold editions, have primarily hit the European and American markets.
Tanduay Gold is a blend of rums, matured for up to 7 years in American bourbon oak barrels.
