Product description
Knockando Distillery, built in 1898 by John Thompson, is based in the Speyside village with which it shares its name.
The modernisation, completed in 1969, doubled its production capacity from 1.4 million litres of distillate per year. Knockando single malt is very popular in Spain, France and Italy, but its main customer remains J&B blends – Knockando is a key ingredient in the original J&B Rare formula from the 1930s. The 15-year-old Richly Matured version debuted in France in 2011 and was soon available in Italy, Spain and France. It is blended using distillates aged in refill bourbon casks and sherry casks. The brand's annual sales are around 500,000 bottles (2020).
