Product description
Macallan 25 years old debuted in the mid 1980s. The whisky was aged exclusively in sherry casks, predominantly first fill, and marketed as Anniversary Malt.
Three decades later sherry casks are in short supply thus reaching exaggerating price of well over 1000 pounds but Macallan owners consequently follow that path. In recent years the distillery core range has evolved and now consists of three styles – Double Oak, Triple Oak and Sherry Oak. The latter, the most prestigious one, features a series of single malts matured exclusively in hand-picked sherry seasoned casks from Jerez. Macallan 25 years old Sherry Oak has been released on annual bases in limited quantities; here we have 2021 release.
