Product description
Springbank Distillery was established in 1828 on the site where Archibald Mitchell illegally distilled and remains Scotland's most unique whisky producer to this day.
It has been owned by the Mitchell family since 1837 and is the only distillery in the 21st century to produce its entire whisky on one estate. Springbank has always placed great emphasis on maturing in sherry casks, and this type of wood, combined with the salty air of Campbeltown, seems to have a magical effect on the aged spirit. Distilled on 8th October 1999, this Springbank spent over two decades in a 285 refill sherry hogshead cask and was bottled at 46.2% in November 2020.
