Benriach's proposal from the last century, when the distillery was managed by Chivas Bros., then owned by the Canadian concern Seagram.
The whisky was part of The Heritage Selection, Seagram's answer to the excellent UD Flora & Fauna series. In 2001, Seagram sold its Spirit & Wine division to Diageo and Pernod Ricard, the latter receiving Chivas and all of Scotland's malt distilleries. Since 2004, the distillery has been owned by Intra Trading.
Aroma: fresh, delicately floral, honeyed, with notes of peaches and coconut flakes.
Taste : honey-vanilla, breakfast cereal, citrus and a delicate spicy note.
Finish: not too long, with a hint of milk fudge, a herbal note and a slight oak bitterness.
