Dictador rum story begins in 1751, when the Severo Arango Ferro arrived in Cartagena de Indias, to control and strengthen trade between Spain and its overseas colony.
Thanks to its expertise and strength quickly earned the nickname Dictador. Fascinated with taste and elegance produced rum is the largest producer and marketer of this drink. 160 years later, in 1913, a descendant dictador, founded the company Destileria Columbiana, becoming the years best manufacturer of rum in the Caribbean region. The third generation of the family Arango created a project Dictador Europe starting an international expansion of the brand. Dictador XO Pepretual made from the fermentation of unique virgin sugar cane honey, distilled in an antique alembic copper still, then is aged in the highest quality pre-used oak barrels from ex-bourbon. Finally use traditional Solera System where the master blender conceives with all his senses and skills to produce the most exquisite blend, using only the finest barrels from each vintage year, approved for bottling under the highest quality control. The rum has a deep and noble mahogany brown colour, incredibly dark and yet golden colours. . The mouth feel is extremely smooth,with fudge, flavours of parfait sweet Colombian coffee, dark chocolate. The finish is long, complex, with light oak flavours coiming into play, giving you the sensation of extreme quality and balance between strength and softness.
