Jacques Bally began producing rum at his Lajus estate in Martinique in 1917.

He was the first producer to apply traditional cognac methods to rum, including maturing the drink in oak barrels. Jacques Bally, like his successors, made rum from fresh sugar cane juice, the so-called rhum agricole.

J. Bally Cuvée Héritage XO is a limited edition, presented in decorative decanters. It is a blend of rums aged for a minimum of 7 years, and also includes 12-year-old distillates and vintages from 1982 and 1997.

Aroma : Intense, notes of fruit, cocoa, oak, spices and dried fruit.

Taste: Oak, spices, fruit, vanilla.

Finish : Long, notes of vanilla and pepper.
