Glasgow Blend joined the Great King Street line-up in 2014. The whisky has no set formulation, with batches released after 2020 blended from: 35.2% Cameronbridge grain whisky (first fill ex-bourbon casks) and the following malts: 29% single malt from a distillery near Aberlour, first fill sherry butts and 5.1% refill sherry casks; 18.2% Laphroaig (refill ex-bourbon casks); 2.6% Highland Malt Blend (from 2020 blended from Glen Moray, Tomatin and Balmenach malts) and 9.9% Clynelish (first fill ex-bourbon casks). Glasgow Blend is bottled at 43% abv and is unchill-filtered.
Aroma : delicate notes of sherry, barley malt, vanilla, caramel, milk chocolate, apples, raisins, dried dates, ginger, a breath of salty breeze and peat smoke.
Palate : pleasantly balanced, sweet breakfast cereals, nectarines, pears, orange peel, vanilla, salted caramel, licorice, notes of sherry, oak and peat smoke.
Finish : medium long and pleasantly smoky, with notes of vanilla, honey, white pepper, cocoa, dried fruit and oak.
