Product description
Machrie Moor, a smoky and peaty version of Arran single malt distilled from malt with a phenol concentration of 20ppm, debuted in 2010 and was immediately included in the core offering.
Four years later, Machrie Moor Cask Strength was launched. The name refers to the legend of Fingal, a giant warrior who chained his favourite dog to a stone to guard the entrance to the unexplored Machrie Moor on the west coast of the Isle of Arran. In 2019, Isle of Arran Distillers began distilling at its sister distillery on the island, Lagg Distillery, and production of the smokey and peaty spirit was moved there. The original Arran Distillery was renamed Lochranza Distillery.
