Product description
DYC, or Destilerias y Crianza, is a company founded in 1959 by the “father of Spanish whisky”, Nicomedes Garcia Gomez.
In 1987 it was taken over by the Pedro Domecq group and is now part of the Beam Suntory group. DYC whisky is produced in Segovia, at the Distilerio Molino del Arco. The plant is equipped with stills and distillation columns and annually produces around 8 million liters of grain distillate and 1.2 million liters of malt; annual sales of DYC whisky exceed one million cases per year. From 1973 to 1992, DYC owned the Lochside Distillery and used its single malt in its blends. The standard DYC Selected version presented here is a blend of malt and grain distillates aged for at least three years. The barrels come from Jim Beam's distillery in Kentucky.
