Kirker Greer Spirits is fairly new distributor of alcoholic beverages; the company was founded by Steven Pattison and Richard Ryan in 2007.
Kirker Greer is located in Belfast, where the original company was founded by Archibald Kirker and William Greer in 1885. They established Connswater Distillery in Belfast and became one of Ireland’s biggest producers and whiskey exporters of the time. Today Kirker Greer Spirits is an independent brand owner and distributor of ten brands including whiskey, vodka, gin and rum. Bowsaw American whiskey is distilled from mashbill composed of 91% corn, 5% malted barley and 4% rye and aged in refill barrels for about four years. The whiskey is sourced from Kentucky distilleries located in Owensboro and Louisville.
Nose: buttered popcorn, vanilla, brown sugar, bubble gum, baked apples, dash of mixed herbs and oak shavings.
Palate: grilled corn on a cob, maple syrup, vanilla, white pepper, dash of cinnamon and delicate oaky bitterness.
Finish: not too long, with notes of corn sweetness, mixed spice and oaky dryness.
