The Ableforth's brand is known primarily as a producer of gin and spiced rum, but it also offers more exotic spirits, including absinthe. The brand appeared on the market relatively recently, in 2011.
It was founded by a group of enthusiasts of exquisite drinks from the south of England, who themselves say that they wanted to create a modern brand, and the main feature of Ableforth's is to be an uncompromising approach to the process of creating drinks. Rumbullion! XO is a drink whose base is rum matured in oak barrels for at least 15 years. The rum was infused with bourbon vanilla from Madagascar, orange peel, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom.
Nose: Creamy vanilla, oranges, cinnamon, cloves, dark chocolate, ripe plums, oak.
Palate: Seville orange marmalade, blackberries, leather, cedarwood, cinnamon, cloves and licorice.
Finish: Long, with accents of orange and oak.
