Product description
In 1952 the Merano wine growers joined together to found the Meran Cellar cooperative with the task to improve the wine quality and increase the sales.
It was a healthy and distinguished wine making operation with over 200 members and a cultivated area of 140 hectares. The turning point in Meran’s history came in 1992 with appointing Stefan Kapfinger to cellar master position. He did great job finding the right grape variety for each location as well as increasing quality of the wines produced. In July 2010 one more merger took place, Meran Cellar joined forces with another cooperative, Burggräfler Winery (founded 1901). The new formation called Meran Burggräfler Winery has 380 members and 260 hectares of vineyards. The wines included in the Graf von Meran line (six white and four red) are made of best grapes and undergo careful cellar work.
Graf von Meran Goldmuskateller 2019 is made with 100% Moscato Giallo grapes cultivated on vineyards of Lagundo, Marlengo, Cermes and Lana located at 400-600 meters above sea level. It is one of the most popular wines in South Tyrol, fresh and aromatic, with notes of wild flowers, grapefruits, lemons, peaches, hints of honey and subtle minerality. Makes good pairing with spicy pasta, freshwater fish, asparagus, goat cheese and cured meats. Serving temperature 10-12ºC.
