Product description

For every whisky lover, Samaroli is synonymous with the highest quality and beauty.

Silvano Samaroli began his whisky career in 1968 and immediately focused on single casks. In 2008, Samaroli left the management of the company in the hands of Antonio Bleve, but he played an active role until his death in February 2017. The Ardbeg presented here was distilled in 1991 (at that time the distillery was owned by Allied Domecq), aged in American oak cask no. 632 and bottled at 45% abv in September 2005 in the Coilltean series in an edition of 384 bottles.

Nose: slightly smoky and peaty, freshly cut grass, green apples, gooseberries, buttered toast, vanilla, damp stones and hay and a trace of paraffin.

Palate: peat smoke, seaweed salad, sea salt, pepper, lemon peel, green apples, a hint of vanilla, traces of pine needles and oak.

Finish : quite long, sweet and salty, with notes of vanilla salt, pepper, a mixture of dried herbs and peat smoke.
