Goa Loove Edition Wild Berry Premium Gin / 37.5% / 0.7l
- Goa gin, named after the smallest state in India, was introduced in 2009 by World Wide Distillers.
Product description
Gin Goa debuted in 2009 in the World Wide Distillers offer. This company, operating since 1973, is based in Madrid and is currently one of the main players in the domestic alcoholic beverages market.
The original Goa gin formula (London Dry) lists eight botanicals: juniper berries, coriander, cassia bark, two types of cumin, angelica root, cardamom and nutmeg. The new version of Goa is the Loove Edition presented here, which also includes raspberries in the formula. Goa gins are distilled at the Thames Distillery in London under the watchful eye of Charles Maxwell, the local master distiller. They are based on grain spirit, in which the botanicals are briefly macerated. They are distilled five times in small stainless steel columns. The name of the gin refers to the smallest state in India.
Goa Loove Edition combines notes of oriental spices with juniper berries and the subtle sweetness of red berries, especially raspberries. We recommend serving it with an ice cube or with Schweppes tonic and a few fresh raspberries or strawberries.
