Product description
King of Scots is a blended whisky first blended in 1886. Fred Laing Sr. acquired the rights to it in 1948, the same year he founded Douglas Laing & Co.
King of Scots established itself on the market in the 1970s thanks to the expansion of Douglas Laing & Co. in the Duty Free network. The whisky was bottled in stylish decanters and was ideally suited to the tastes of wealthy travellers from Asia and America. Little is known about the formula of the "King of Scots", Douglas Laing claims that "only a small group of the most trusted employees of this family company know its details", and the blender Fred Laing personally oversees the selection of casks for each edition.
