The story of Cruzan rums dates back to 1760, when manufacture of sugar began on a sugar cane plantation on Saint Criox, the largest of the US Virgin Islands.

For many years – eight generations, in fact - the rum distillery was run by the Nelthopp family. It is now a part of Beam Suntory. Apart from regular rums, it offers a wide range of flavoured rums as well.

Cruzan 151 Proof is a Cuban-style rum, made from sugar cane molasses, matured for at least 1 year in American oak ex-bourbon barrels.

Nose: Almonds, vanilla, spices – cloves, black pepper.

Palate: Brown sugar, vanilla, oak, nuts, earthy notes, some fruity overtones.

Finish: Long, oaky and spicy.
