Product description
The Quiet Man Irish whiskey debuted in June 2015 and is the result of the combined efforts of Niche Drinks based in Derry, Northern Ireland and Luxco Inc. of St. Louis, Missouri.
It was created by Ciaran Mulgren, director and co-founder of Niche Drinks, and the “quiet man” is his father John Mulgren, who worked as a barman for 50 years and was always the epitome of discretion. The company does not reveal which Irish distillery is behind The Quiet Man, all we know is that it is the first whiskey bottled in Derry in over a hundred years. The limited edition 12 year old An Culchiste (or Reserve) presented here contains triple-distilled whiskey aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels.
Aroma : fresh, spring meadow, vanilla, caramel, sweet breakfast cereals, honey, apples, ripe grapes, orange peel, traces of hay and oak.
Palate : pronounced bourbon notes, vanilla ice cream, honey, milk chocolate, toffee, caramel, coconut flakes, baked apples, a touch of lemongrass and oak.
Finish: medium long, extending the flavor palette with a stronger oak note.
